Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and who sees it.
Who We Are
Frozen Account Guide is an independent information website. We are not a law firm. The data user under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) is the operator of Frozen Account Guide. Contact the operator through WhatsApp using the button on this site. If appropriate and with your consent, we can pass your contact request to an independent lawyer or law firm; we do not act as your lawyer or hold a client file for you. See How Referral Works.
What We Collect on WhatsApp
When you contact us through WhatsApp, we receive your phone number, your WhatsApp profile name if it is shown, and whatever you write or attach. Keep your first message general. Never share passwords, PINs, OTPs or TAC codes with anyone, including this site or anyone who says they are a lawyer. Do not send identity documents, bank statements or police reports in your first message; send documents only later, to a lawyer who has identified themselves and their firm.
Analytics is not active on this site at present. If we enable it in future, this page will be updated first.
Who Reads Your First Message
The first message is read by the operator of this site. It is not read by a lawyer at that stage. If appropriate and with your consent, the operator can pass your contact request to an independent lawyer or law firm. No operator name is published on this site yet; WhatsApp is the only contact we publish.
Why We Collect It
We use your number and message to read your request for lawyer contact and, where appropriate and with your consent, pass it to an independent lawyer or law firm.
Who Receives It, and Your Consent
When you request lawyer contact, your phone number and message may be shared with an independent lawyer or law firm for that purpose. By sending that contact request, you consent to this. If you do not agree, do not request a referral. A data request or editorial correction is not a referral request. Sending a message does not commit you to engaging a lawyer. You can withdraw consent at any time by telling us on WhatsApp. We will stop passing your enquiry on and delete what we hold, but we cannot recall what a firm already has. That firm handles your data under its own duties, and once your enquiry is passed on, the firm keeps and handles its own copy.
Cookies
This site uses essential cookies required for it to work. You can disable cookies in your browser settings.
WhatsApp and Data Outside Malaysia
WhatsApp is operated by Meta Platforms, Inc., which processes data outside Malaysia, so your message may be handled on servers abroad. WhatsApp's own privacy policy applies to that part. Its end-to-end encryption protects the message in transit; it does not by itself make your enquiry legally privileged.
How Long We Keep It
We keep an enquiry no longer than needed for the referral, and delete it within 12 months. The operator keeps the copy in WhatsApp, and only the operator can read it. To ask for deletion, message us on WhatsApp. We do not keep a case file on this site. How long the firm keeps your data is its own responsibility.
Your Rights and Complaints
Under the PDPA you may ask to access your personal data, ask us to correct it, and withdraw your consent. Make the request on WhatsApp; it is not treated as a sales enquiry. You may also complain to the Personal Data Protection Commissioner (Jabatan Perlindungan Data Peribadi) at pdp.gov.my.
Language
This policy is also published in Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese. If the versions differ, tell us so we can correct them.
Changes to This Policy
If we update this policy, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new date.
