Mule Account Lawyer in Pahang

If your account is being treated as a mule account anywhere in Pahang, deal with the priorities below in order. The mule law is federal, so it is the same in Kuantan, Temerloh and Bentong.

Priority one: stop all contact with the recruiter

End contact with whoever asked for your account, card or banking login. Do not move money, close the account or follow any more instructions. From now on, anything you do on their instructions can look like you were taking part.

Priority two: keep proof that you were tricked

Some people accused in Pahang were misled, not willing helpers. Save the fake job or investment offer, the full chat, transfer records and every bank notice, with names, numbers and dates. This proof can shape your whole defence, so keep it before anything is deleted.

Priority three: call NSRC 997 if money moved

Giving someone else control of your own account falls under section 424B: a fine of RM10,000 to RM100,000, or one to seven years in jail, or both. ^[f1]

The heaviest is section 424C, using an account for transactions with no lawful purpose, with 3 to 10 years in jail, or a fine of RM10,000 to RM150,000, or both. ^[f2] Which one applies depends on the facts, so a lawyer reads the charge closely.

Priority five: find out which court

Mule offences are tried in the Magistrates’ Court or Sessions Court, and the prosecution decides which. A High Court sits at Kuantan and at Temerloh. ^[f6]

Priority six: a lawyer and legal aid in Pahang
