A Malaysian credit reporting agency; its records are separate from a police mule flag or bank freeze.

What is CTOS?
CTOS is a Malaysian credit reporting agency. It collects credit information about people and businesses, and lenders use it to help assess a loan or credit application. In short, it is about creditworthiness and repayment history.
It helps to be clear about what CTOS is not. It is not a criminal record system, not a police tool, and not where account freezes are decided. Those are separate matters run by different bodies.
Why is a CTOS record not a mule flag or a freeze?
When you are anxious about a frozen account, it is easy to assume everything about your money sits in one place. It does not. A CTOS credit record and a police mule flag come from different systems.
To check whether an account or phone number is flagged as a mule, use the PDRM Semak Mule portal, not a credit report. [f1] A freeze is different again. Under AMLA, the Public Prosecutor can order a financial institution not to deal with money suspected to be proceeds of unlawful activity. [f3] None of this is a credit score.
Where do you check, and where do you complain?
If your worry is a mule flag, the Semak Mule portal lets you check an account or phone number. If your worry is a bank decision, ask the bank in writing for its reason. You can also make a banking complaint through BNMLINK on 1-300-88-5465. [f2]
If your worry is a frozen account tied to a criminal matter, a credit agency cannot help. A lawyer can explain the legal basis of the freeze and your options. Keep the two apart so your effort goes to the right place.

What is CTOS?
CTOS is a Malaysian credit reporting agency. It collects credit information about people and businesses, and lenders use it to help assess a credit application. It is about credit and repayment history. It has nothing to do with criminal investigations or freezing bank accounts.
Is a CTOS record the same as being flagged as a mule?
No. A CTOS credit record and a police mule flag are different things held in different systems. To check whether an account or phone number is flagged as a mule, use the PDRM Semak Mule portal, not a credit report.
My account is frozen. Will it show up on CTOS?
A freeze is separate from your credit record. A frozen account comes from an order by the police, an enforcement agency or the Public Prosecutor, while CTOS deals with credit information. If you are worried about a freeze, ask the bank in writing, and if a criminal matter is involved, speak to a lawyer.
